Our story
Coffee was never really the point.
Frapp & Capp is a social enterprise cafe from TLC Disability Services, built to close a gap most people never see: how hard it is for someone with a disability to land a first real job. We picked coffee because everyone understands a good cup, and because the skills it teaches translate everywhere.

How it works
Three steps, one pathway.
Every barista at Frapp & Capp walks the same three steps, in the same order. It is a real job with real standards, because that is what respect looks like.
The order matters. Nobody is put in front of a customer to prove a point. By the time someone pulls their first shot for you, they have done the training and they are on the roster like anyone else.
Goals, support needs, and travel and money-management skills, sorted out before anyone touches an espresso machine.
Grinding, dialling in, milk texture, front-of-house: a proper course, not a token placement.
A genuine job, on the roster, at the cafe on West Terrace, not a simulation of one.

Who we are
An initiative of TLC Disability Services.
Frapp & Capp is run by TLC Disability Services, a registered NDIS provider working across New South Wales. The cafe opened its doors on West Terrace on 10 May 2023 and has been a working, paying workplace ever since.
A portion of every sale, in the cafe and of every bag of beans, goes back into the TLC Impact Foundation, which supports more employment pathways for people with disability.
